September Book Club Selection

Fall is here!

We’re starting off the cooler days with a memoir recommended by our very own Carol Moss titled Blazing Splendor: The Memoirs of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche by Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Daniel Goleman and Sogyal Rinpoche.

Carol recommends this book, written by Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s father, because she thinks it’s “a real treasure…truly filled with the magic and mystery of old Tibet.”

The book “offers a glimpse into the remarkable reality of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as an in-depth portrait of the lost culture of old Tibet. This grand narrative stretches across generations, providing an inspiring glimpse into a realm of remarkable human achievement quite different from our familiar, mundane world. Intimate in tone, these personal memoirs recount the influences and experiences that shaped one of the great spiritual teachers of our time. Blazing Splendor is of both spiritual and historical importance.”

We hope you enjoy this month’s selection!
