Welcome to my site!

I love sharing the practice of mindfulness with others and strongly believe in the power of mindful awareness to heal and re-connect us to our own inherent sense of ease and well-being.

I am happy to welcome you to InsightLA and hope you will find a sense of refuge and support for your growing practice in our community.

Celeste first started practicing meditation in 2002 in the Shambhala tradition and later fell in love with Insight meditation practice. In 2011, she was invited to join the first teacher development group at InsightLA under the guidance of founder Trudy Goodman.

Celeste has since taught thousands of students mindfulness meditation as a core teacher for ILA’s basics of mindfulness program, and has developed and taught many other intermediate secular mindfulness and Buddhist classes, daylongs and residential retreats.

Upon request, Celeste teaches meditation for profit and non-profit organizations. Additionally, she offers private sessions for individuals and small groups seeking to learn meditation or to more fully integrate mindfulness into their daily lives.

Prior to teaching mindfulness and Dharma, Celeste taught yin yoga and has a background in working with youth from early childhood to teens. She is a graduate of Spirit Rock’s two-year Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga teacher training, and is a current participant in Spirit Rock’s Advanced Practitioner Program, and Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing training. Celeste is a current member of the InsightLA teacher council and also a core trainer for the InsightLA facilitator training, training the 2016 cohort how to teach the basics of mindfulness in communities throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

As a mindfulness and Dharma teacher Celeste is committed to sharing the teachings in a wide variety of settings with many different communities, and continuing to sustain and deepen her own personal practice through regular intensive retreat.
